ASIO4All is only for audio hardware that doesn't have any ASIO drivers. The latency was immediately gone.įirst off uninstall ASIO4All, the focusrite ASIO drivers are the best drivers for the hardware. In Bias FX 2, I set both the input and output to the Focusrite Asio. I had to change the receiver to Pure Direct and Stereo sound. I then plugged RCA cables from the back of the focusrite directly into my home theater receiver. My bias fx settings and Asio4all settings: Įdit: Here was my fix - I uninstalled the Asio4all drivers. Should I ever expect to have a nearly instantaneous response like I would from an amp? If yes, then what the heck am I doing wrong? but when I try to overdub a track in audacity (again also first time using it) my recording is ~80+ms off.and this is after hours of fighting with it. I tried to check what the latency was in Ableton (again first time using this as well) and with the Asio driver selected it estimates 33ms Latency which should be usable. I am now connected directly from the computer to a Klipsch 2.1 system.latency still terrible. I was originally using a receiver from the computer to a surround sound system but removed that in case it was adding latency (ignore another hour or two trying to use optical cables and having choppiness issues).

I found recommendations online to install Asio4All so I did that. I had issues getting it to work at all, but after a few hours I got the sound to come through but with unbearable latency. I first installed the ASIO drive from the Focusrite website and then I installed the Demo of Bias FX 2. This has been my first attempt at ever trying to run any significant audio program on my computer and I didn't realize how many issues were going to pop up.
Focusrite scarlett 2i2 driver low latency how to#
I have spent the last 6 hours trying to figure out how to first get it to work at all and then to reduce the latency to the point where it is usable. I purchased a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 2nd Gen to connect up my guitar to my computer.
